The ABAC III meeting will bring together about 250 international and Vietnamese delegates, including leaders of leading corporations, enterprises, and trade and investment promotion organizations from 21 APEC member economies. The event is an important step in the roadmap for Vietnam to assume the role of APEC and ABAC Chair in 2027.
According to Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Chairman of ABAC Vietnam, the meeting is an important opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to approach and directly dialogue with regional economic leaders, share development strategies and propose policies to promote trade, investment, digital transformation and sustainable growth.
"The theme of this year's ABAC is Bridge. Business. Beyond, demonstrating the spirit of connection and development for a common future. Vietnam will play an important role as a bridge in this process," Mr. Cong emphasized.

Hai Phong City has completed preparations for facilities, security and communications to welcome ABAC delegates. This is not only an international meeting, but also an opportunity to promote the image of Hai Phong to domestic and foreign investors.
Within the framework of the event, a series of foreign affairs and investment promotion activities will be held. Most notably, the Investment - Trade Promotion Conference will take place on the afternoon of July 15 at the Hai Phong Convention and Performance Center, with an expected attendance of about 700 guests.
In addition, the exhibition area of Hai Phong's economic achievements and typical products, taking place continuously from July 15 to 18 at the Pullman Hotel, will be the place to introduce the city's key and typical products such as industrial products, high-tech agriculture, logistics services, seaports, tourism, etc.
According to the Organizing Committee, the ABAC III meeting is one of the four most important annual meetings of ABAC. The policy recommendations from here will be presented to APEC Leaders at the APEC Summit at the end of the year.
Following the meeting in Hai Phong, ABAC IV and APEC CEO Summit 2025 will take place in Korea this October, ahead of the APEC Summit.
