PROGRAM
DAY 1:
HCM City - Vung Tau - Ho Tram (L)
Depart HCM City and drive toward Can Gio. Take a boat trip in the protected mangrove forest in Can Gio, one of the important biosphere reserves in Vietnam. Take the ferry across the estuary bay to reach Vung Tau (120km). Hop on the vehicle to drive along the beach front road. Visit Villa Blanche, formerly a property owned by King Bao Dai, built on the hillside and looking over the bay. The villa is an elegant colonial architecture with the interior converted into a small museum displaying a collection of antiques.
Continue the sightseeing tour in Vung Tau. Take in the sight of the giant Christ the Redeemer statue prominently standing on a hilltop. The statue is a resemblance of that in Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro. If you have time and feel fit enough, you can hike up 700 plus stone steps to the hilltop. Next to the feet of Christ and flanking on both sides are two huge cannons pointing toward the navigation route on the bay.
After the visit of Vung Tau, take the next 50 km drive on the scenic coastal road to Ho Tram, going along a series of sand strips. Check in one of the superb luxury resorts in Ho Tram.
DAY 2:
Ho Tram (B)
Free day to enjoy the beach and the comforts of the resort.
DAY 3:
Ho Tram - HCM City (B)
The morning is free until check-out time. After lunch. Leave the resort and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. En route, you can have a stop to have some nice photos of a local market. The tour ends when you arrive back at the let-off point.
