This vacation is especially intended for people who enjoy outdoor sports and exploring the natural world. You can experience a wonderful opportunity to bring yourself into harmony with nature and take in the sounds and scents of the jungle life by taking a three-day, two-night vacation to explore Cat Tien National Park. To view several crocodile species, take a stroll to the Crocodile Lake. Take in the breathtaking sight of ancient cedars sprouting from the immaculate picturesque scenery by taking a leisurely stroll or exploring the forest on a bike. Additionally, you will get to observe bears and uncommon primate species that are rescued and given care before being returned to the wild at the Bear Sanctuary and Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Center.

Highlights

Visit the Bear and Wildlife Rescue Center to learn about the initiatives being taken to preserve Vietnam's wildlife. Go on day hikes through the rainforest to see unique creatures. Ride a bicycle through a thick jungle to see the Heaven waterfall and a botanical park. Visit Crocodile Lake to observe a variety of crocodile species. Visit the Dao Tien Center for Endangered Primate Species.

Program
Day 1
Drive to Cat Tien National Park, Visit Bear Sanctuary, Trek along the ecologic route

07.30 Departure by car to Cat Tien National Park. The terrain rises up gradually via volcanic area. On arrival, we cross Dong Nai River to the park center. Lunch break. Check in room at the park center.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Bear Sanctuary where they rescue and take care of hunted bears in Vietnam until their health get well enough to be released into the wild. Then trek back to the center for leisure and dinner.

Start walking 3km along the ecologic route: sites of Lagerstroemia Ovalfolia (Bang Lang), Tetrameles nudiflora (Tung), Cycas rumphii (Thien Tue),  Ancistrolandus tectorius (Trung quan), Afzelia cyclocarpa (Go). Trek back to the Park center for dinner.

Overnight at guesthouse at Nam Cat Tien Park.

Day 2
Cycle to Haven waterfall & botanical garden, Visit Crocodile Lake

After having breakfast, discover the forest by bike to see the Haven waterfall & botanical garden. Enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon we are starting for the 6km by pick up car through forest to Crocodile Lake. Species that can be seen here include Green Peafowl by Crocodile Lake in the early morning or late afternoon, Bronze-winged Jacana, lesser adjutant and Purple Heron. In the forest look out for Red and Black and Banded Broadbill, orange-breasted Trogon and Pale-headed Woodpecker amongst others.

Day 3
Take a boat to visit Tien Island, Back to HCM

After breakfast, we will take a boat to visit Tien Island, walk 800m to reach the centre of island, where E.A.S.T Centre (U.K) is located. There we will see many rare primate species which are available in only two countries of the worlds (Vietnam & Cambodia) and their daily lives. Enjoy interesting talks with E.A.S.T members about funny primate rescues and daily primate care. Hike 800m back to meet-up with boat and return to the park center for lunch.

Transfer back HCM city. Drop off at your hotel.
