- A Ring Main Unit (RMU) is a combined switchgear unit integrating the functions of switching, disconnecting, and protecting one or more distribution transformers or power grids operating in a radial or open-loop configuration, with voltage levels up to 40.5kV.
- The switchgear is designed, tested, and manufactured according to IEC 62271-200 standards.
- The switchgear includes the following main compartments:
+ Busbar and switching equipment compartment (Gas tank): The compartment casing is made of 3mm thick stainless steel, hermetically sealed using robotic welding technology ("Seal for Life"), ensuring a lifespan of up to 30 years under normal operating conditions;
+ Operation compartment: This compartment houses the operating mechanisms, fault indicators (FI), voltage indicators (VPI), operation diagrams, etc.
+ Cable compartment: This compartment houses the input/output cable terminals of the switchgear.
- The electrical cabinet is fitted with epoxy-molded plastic bearings, compatible with T-plug cable connectors, ensuring safe and continuous operation in dusty industrial environments or coastal climates with high humidity and corrosion.
- The electrical cabinet has a small, compact design with uniform dimensions for each functional compartment in both single-unit (module panel) or block panel configurations.
- A wide range of additional accessories are available to meet upgrade and operation needs, including: AC/DC electrical operation mechanisms; Fault indicator devices (FI), heating resistors, protective relays, current sensors (CT), remote control (RMU controller IEC 101-104),...
- Applications:
+ Power distribution systems of the Electricity Corporation
+ Power systems for infrastructure: airports, seaports, special economic zones, pumping stations,...
+ Power supply systems for residential projects, shopping centers,...
+ Power systems in industrial plants
+ Renewable energy systems (solar energy, wind energy,...)
