According to information from VNPT, at present, the repair of AAG sea optical cable is nearing completion, restoring 90% capacity of transmission channel on the route.

As of morning 10.1, the international partner has conducted the source configuration on the sea cable route and has restored 90% capacity of transmission channel on the route. As of 20 January, the AAG system source configuration will be completed and 100% capacity will be restored.

Earlier, during the two days of March 6 - 7.1.2018, when both AAG and APG sea optical lines were disrupted due to relocation and reconfiguration of the system, internet connection from Vietnam to the international market was affected. . However, at present APG fiber optic cable has been successfully overcome.
It is known that AAG sea cable optical cable has a total length of 20,000 km and design capacity reaches 2 terabits per second, direct connection Southeast Asia with America.
Launched in November 2009, this fiber optic cable has been launched in Malaysia and the United States. The cable branch to Vietnam is located in section S1 with a length of 314 km.
