With 34 years of experience working at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Dr. Nguyen Tan Cuong has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating general surgical diseases (gastrointestinal surgery and liver-gall-pancreas surgery).
The first doctor in Vietnam to cut endoscopic gallbladder in 1992, is a pioneer in many types of laparoscopic surgery such as colon cutting, liver cutting, splenectomy, pancreatic cut, laparoscopic surgery in abdominal traumas, thoracic laparoscopic sutures for pain, chest discomfort, increased sweating, etc.
Especially, in October 2012, Dr. Nguyen Tan Cuong with liver transplantation liver Cho Ray Hospital in collaboration with the doctors ASAN Hospital - Korea successfully performed the first liver transplant for adults in the province South Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Gold Star for this project.
Dr. Cuong also publishes many medical specialties for students and writes articles for medical journals inside and outside the country such as Endoscopic Surgery, Journal of the Japanese Society of Endoscopic Surgery, Chiropractic Medicine, Medicine Journal of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy Material, Endoscopic Surgery Magazine ...
