Em là chàng trai khá chung thuỷ Nam à khi em bám trụ tại mảnh đất Washington lâu như thế! Ban đầu từ sự giới thiệu của bạn bè, em đến với Seattle như một sự thử nghiệm môi trường mới cho chuyến hành trình du học "dài hơi" nghiêm túc. Vậy mà em đã gắn bó với nó suốt mấy năm trời rồi đó. Cũng đúng thôi vì đây là một trong những thành phố lớn đáng sống nhất của Mỹ mà (theo Forbes bình chọn). Dù trước đó đã từng đi du lịch khắp nơi trên chục quốc gia từ châu Á, châu Âu và ngay cả Mỹ cùng gia đình nhưng như tất cả các bạn sinh viên quốc tế khác, em cũng không tránh khỏi những bỡ ngỡ, khó khăn và buồn chán trong những ngày đầu đặt chân tới Seattle. Tuy nhiên, quãng thời gian ấy kéo dài không lâu vì với một người cởi mở như em thì không khó để kết bạn và thích nghi môi trường mới cũng như khám phá ra những điều thú vị của thành phố sôi động này. Tốt nghiệp đại học University of Washington Tacoma hạng Honors, hiện em đang trải qua năm thực tập OPT để tích luỹ kinh nghiệm làm việc thực tế chuẩn bị cho tương lai. Mọi thứ có vẻ đang đi đúng guồng của nó phải không em?! Với những nỗ lực em đã cố gắng thực hiện trong thời gian vừa qua, chúc em sớm hoàn thành các mục tiêu đặt ra và không gì có thể cản bước một chàng trai đang căng tràn sức trẻ - niềm tin - nghị lực như em!

"Time goes by so fast, this is already my fifth year in the United States and I still feel like it just happened recently. I came to Seattle in 2012 after graduating from an international high school in Vietnam.
 
Although English was not a too big problem for me, my first days in the new place were definitely as difficult as any other international students. Everything was new and different from my previous experiences. The reason for me to choose Seattle as my destination is because of the referral of a friend, but I did not really have a lot of friends in this city. Thus, my first several months in this country were quite boring.
 
Fortunately, the boring time did not last long. I met some other students that have lately become my friends, and of course they are still my good friends until now. At the same time, I got a driver license, and my parents bought me a car! When you have friends and a transport in a big city like Seattle, it is really hard to be bored. We have a lot of places to hanging out in this wonderful city: amazing restaurants, good food, nice beaches, best mountain views, etc. Trust me, there is much more than I could list.
 
Ok, enough about fun time. About studying, the workload was not too bad. As long as you spend enough time to care about your education, you should find out that college classes are easier than what you expected. The one thing I really like about the colleges in the US is that the courses are never too difficult for students, but they are really helpful. I did not really have any massive problem in studying during my college time, but it does not mean I did not learn. In fact, I have learned a lot! After getting an associate degree, I have transferred to a four-year college. The classes here are harder and the fun time was less. But again, as long as you maintain a good attitude about your studying, there should not be a huge problem for you to succeed in a four-year college. I was quite stressful in the first quarter of the school, but then I found out the right strategies to adjust my studying methods. As a result, I have graduated university with an honor status. 
 
So what were the strategies that help me to success? There are a lot to list, but if I have to choose only one thing to talk about, it would be working with the people you can trust. I had a great team that has worked with me through many classes and it made my college time so easy and so fun. Yes, find friends that you are confident about their skills and manners and work with them until the end of your college life and you will never regret about that. I guarantee that you guys will success together. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of having teammates that work well with you. If you have not known yet, most of the work at the university are teamwork, and your life will be much easier if you already have a team that work with you for a while in many classes. This is the most important recommendation from me to the prospective students who will enter college in the United States soon."
