Hoang Phuong Nga (29 years old) has just won a full scholarship worth 300,000 USD (about 7 billion VND) to study for a doctorate in education at the University of Colorado Boulder.
9x said that in order to win a full scholarship for a doctoral degree, she has gone through a long journey to pursue STEM education since her early days as a student of Information Technology at FPT University, Hanoi.

"The university program is an inspiration and a foundation for me to see the important role of Computer Science (CS) in developing students' thinking ability, with education present and future," Phuong Nga said.
Specifically, the first major at the school has formed in the young girl an interest in STEM education, especially CS for high school students.
In order to gain more background knowledge about programming, Nga participated in many technology competitions, becoming interns of companies such as FPT Software, Fujitsu Tokyo Japan during internship periods. At the same time, in order to improve her educational experience, Nga also worked as a tutor for high school students at FPT High School, researched and built programs for the Young Programmer Club, Codeforkid project to teach children programming, and became a teacher. In addition, the dynamic young lady actively participates in FPT University's clubs such as No Shy, Debate, and regularly connects with teachers, even though she has graduated for nearly 10 years.
During her 4 years as a student, Phuong Nga achieved many impressive achievements such as 6/9 periods as an excellent student, 3/9 terms as an excellent student; Outstanding Female Student in Technology Industry 2015 - Award presented by Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

After completing her undergraduate program, Russia came to the US to continue her in-depth research in STEM Education and became a researcher and assistant professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. She shared: "This job helped me learn a lot about how to develop STEM Education in the US as well as apply AI in the educational environment. I am very interested in these topics and want to be able to bring my learning knowledge to life. be in the US to contribute to Vietnamese education".
Along with continuing to pursue a doctoral program in the US, Russia also volunteered for organizations like STEAM For Vietnam so that she can contribute to the education of her country even while abroad.
