Some notices while using electrical appliances
Refrigerators, washing machines, rice cookers … are devices familiar to families. However, are you using them properly? “The durability of products depends on users”. Let’s take a look at the notes below to become a smart user.
Washers
- Do not place any heavy objects on top of the washing machine and do not stand or sit on it.
- Before putting clothes in the washing machine, you should check all the bags thoroughly; avoid forgetting the electronics or metal. Also, make sure to remove any loose clothing before washing.
- Make sure that only detergent and fabric softener exclusive for washing machines are used. Chemicals for hand washing create too much foam and can cause damages.
- Clean the rubber inside the machine after each wash. Containers of detergent and fabric softener should also be washed and dried. Do this frequently to prevent mold formation.
- If your washing machine is not equipped with self-cleaning function, you should do manual cleaning (about once a month). You run the empty machine with the hottest cycle, then plus one discharge. Be sure to add some lemon juice, vinegar, or detergent in to the laundry detergent box.
Refrigerators
- While delivering the new refrigerator to your home, you need to ensure that it is vertically transported and not tilted more than 40 degrees. Otherwise, the oil compressor might leak out and damage the entire system.
- Once you are sure the refrigerator is not tilted when moving, you can start the machine after 4 hours, or at best 6 hours. If you have any doubt, wait for a period of 15 hours and then start the machine.
- Do not leave hot dishes in the refrigerator – let them cool down before putting them inside the device.
- Modern refrigerators do not need to be completely defrosted twice a year. However, you should still clean the refrigerator regularly and remember to shut off the power first.
- Do not forget to occasionally clean dust from the back of the refrigerator (a vacuum cleaner is suggested). Do not forget to unplug the refrigerator first.
-
- Rice cookers
- Remember to dry and clean the pot before plugging in the outlet to avoid short-circuiting and quickly breaking the pot.
- The outside of the pot and the lid of the rice cooker must also be regularly cleaned to prevent unwanted moisture, oil excess, dust, and leftovers accumulating there.
- Do not use metal skein to rub the pot as it may scratch the non-stick surface. You should only wash the pot with a soft sponge.
- Be sure to cook the ingredients under the maximum capacity.
Dishwashers
- Always ensure that bowls are put correctly: upside down.
- Before putting bowls into the machine, do not forget to remove leftovers and grease by washing dishes in the sink.
- Remove all stickers from your bowls, plates and cups as they can clog the filters.
- When placing the dishes inside the machine, make sure that they do not touch each other and do not interfere with the rotation of the sprinklers.
- Use detergent exclusive for the machine. Common dishwashing chemicals can easily lead to malfunctions.
- Adding some salt to the dishwasher tray will increase performance and extend machine
