EOV 2024 honors young English talents

The final round of the English Olympics of Vietnam (EOV) 2024 has just ended, marking the success of an intellectual and linguistic playground for students aged 8-18 at the "language festival" where young talents were honored and shined.

After much effort and determination, 24 contestants from 6 teams participating in the Contest have excellently entered the EOV National Finals 2024. The title of EOV Champion of season 2024 belongs to team 2 - including contestants: Nguyen Dong Nhu Ngoc (Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted); Ngo Nha Nam (Tran Phu Secondary School); Huynh Nguyen Hai Dang (Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School); Nguyen Khai Hoa (Nguyen Du Primary School).

Through 4 intense and tense rounds of competition, the contestants from many regions of the country demonstrated their deep understanding of language, culture and social knowledge. Especially the ability to think critically, creatively and work in groups of young people. The 6 teams that made it to the final round spent a lot of time every day practicing and working online together. Despite the geographical and age differences, the determination, solidarity and efforts of the contestants showed the ability to interact when working in groups, which was formed and developed through the journey of participating in the event. Especially the meaning of spreading the love of learning English, exchanging and making friends with friends who share the same passion for English in regions of the country. 

English Olympics of Vietnam focuses on training and developing soft skills for contestants such as: communication, presentation, debate and teamwork skills through dramatic and exciting competitions in the Final round: crossword puzzle solving, understanding teammates, presentation, debate - problem solving.

The success of EOV 2024 affirms the right direction of Vietnamese education in training 21st century global citizens; contributing to creating an English-loving community, where young people learn and share experiences together. With the accumulated knowledge, skills and experiences, English-loving students will continue to conquer new heights in their studies and careers...
