There have been more than 4,200 applications for the "Designing English e-lessons" contest.

The contest "Designing English e-lessons" is organized by Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Education Publishing House) in collaboration with the University of Foreign Languages ​​(Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

The contest aims to find and honor teachers and students with creative, high-quality English e-lectures that apply digital skills and advanced technology according to the 2018 General Education Program.

At the same time, effectively implement the teaching and learning of English textbooks according to the 2018 General Education Program; build a high-quality English learning materials warehouse for managers, teachers and students nationwide to refer to and use.

Launched on January 15, 2024, the Contest has spread widely and received positive benefits at educational institutions across the country. Provinces with the largest number of registrations include: Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Da Nang, Kon Tum, etc.

Leaders of many Departments of Education and Training said that after receiving the official dispatch launching the Contest, the Department posted information about the Contest on the Electronic Information Portal and sent it to units and schools. Some Departments of Education and Training also launched it to their affiliated units and considered it an important professional activity in the process of implementing educational innovation in the spirit of Resolution 29.

Teachers and education managers also highly appreciated the significance and impact of the Contest. Mr. Mai Tan Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang, said that the contest "Designing electronic lectures for English" will enrich the source of digital learning materials in teaching this subject; at the same time, he expected and believed that in the process of researching, coming up with ideas, designing electronic lectures or learning projects, it would promote the effective implementation of teaching and learning English according to the 2018 General Education Program in line with the goal of developing learners' capacity and qualities.

According to Ms. Ngo Thi Viet Hong, English teacher at Vo Thi Sau Primary School (Hai Phong), the contest "Designing electronic English lessons" creates a playground connecting high school teachers and English pedagogy students across the country; it is an opportunity for teachers to demonstrate their creativity and continuous learning.

It is known that the registration portal for the contest "Designing electronic lectures for English subject" is still open. The Organizing Committee accepts entries from 08:00 on February 20, 2024 to 24:00 on March 31, 2024.

There are two types of entries. First, the entry is an English lesson: designed for a lesson according to the Global Success English textbook series of the Vietnam Education Publishing House.

The second product is an English lesson through project-based learning activities: designed for part or all of an English lesson through project-based learning based on pre-designed projects or new projects can be created based on topics in the Global Success English textbook series of the Vietnam Education Publishing House./.
